Signs of Spring

Works by gallery artists depicting the arrival of spring will be on exhibit at the Jessie Edwards Studio on the second floor of the Post Office building.

“Barn Island,” Cynthia Guild’s oil on canvas, is a view of water streaming through a grassy marshland in fresh yellows and greens.

Carrie Megan’s oil on canvas “Spring Green” is a scene of a field in various shades of green with a small white building in the distance.

“End of the Road,” an oil on canvas by Heidi Palmer, is a scene of a house facing the sea at the end of a road. A pale, soft spring light falls on the house and the lawn. Stephen Haley’s pastel “View from Rocks, Flye Point” looks from a rocky shoreline in the foreground across the new growth of green brush toward a white house in the distance.

Elizabeth Pannell’s oil on canvas “Marsh” shows a pond surrounded by marsh grasses with the sea and sky beyond.

Flowers are a sure sign of spring.  “Daffodils and Pink Checked Cloth” by Kate Knapp is a still life of yellow and white daffodils in a blue and white pitcher.

The gallery is open from early May through December and by appointment in the winter and early spring months. Call 401-466-5314 or email at info@jessieedwards gallery.com
